SCIENTIFIC, TECHNICAL AND MEDICAL POSTER PRESENTATIONS
BREWSTER, NY - November 15, 2001 - SciFor Inc. announced today that it will archive and offer online access for scientific, technical and medical posters presented at meetings and conferences.
Called E-Poster, this new service provides researchers the opportunity to offer access to their posters to any colleague in the worldwide scientific community electronically on the Internet. E-Posters can be accessed and viewed on SciFor's web site after each author's conference presentation using an individual poster identification number (PID) assigned to each poster. Each researcher controls access to his or her work through the dissemination of this PID, forwarding the number to interested parties at his or her discretion.The new service is available in two formats. For posters prepared by SciFor's web-based digital design and printing service, SciFor will archive and host display access to E-Posters in Adobe Acrobat PDF format free of charge for six months. These Acrobat files can also be printed or downloaded, and distributed directly to colleagues via email. SciFor will also offer similar visibility and access control for researchers whose posters are not designed and printed by SciFor in a different format for a small yearly service charge.
